Meet some of our artists and crafters!

Gina May makes FAF's art greeting cards. Gina was the Washington State Supervisor for Visual and Performing Arts in the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. She lives in Seattle, Washington. Gina takes scraps from FAF sewing and turns them into striking patterns and designs, adding stamping, ribbon and jewels.

ImageLucy Ramshaw is known as FAF's "Mad Hatter." Lucy has been sewing all of her life, and her finished works show her skills as a wily seamstress and colorist. In addition to hats, Lucy makes aprons, bags, purses and animal bean bags. Lucy taught music, and then with her husband ran their flower shop in Lancaster, WI. Currently they live in MT Horeb, WI where Lucy is the musical director for a local church. Here's a picture of Lucy with friends in a few of her hat creations. Lucy is on the left middle--not wearing a hat!

ImageLaura Salazar's grandmother taught her to sew doll clothes and make dolls when she was a little girl. Sewing and crafting has been fun for Laura ever since. After 33 years as a theater professor, Laura retired to Florida. She has been flirting with the visual arts since and tries to develop a new skill and artistic vision every year. Laura lives in Dunedin, FL and Grand Rapids, MI where both locations stimulate her work. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Surface Design Guild; The American Sewing Guild; and Prayers and Squares, a national organization that makes prayer quilts for seriously ill children and adults. Here is a picture of Laura at her first sale of FAF items.

ImageDian Zahner lives in Spokane, WA where she weaves and works in a multitude of the visual arts. Dian has taught art and English as a Second Language to people of all ages. Dian participates in Spokane's International Market each year where she raises funds for FAF with her beautiful pieces. This is our beautiful Dian.
